I have always had a love for working with children. From a young age my family fostered babies and so began my wish to become a teacher. I went over to Edinburgh to complete my primary teacher training and taught there for several years. Then became my biggest job yet, becoming Mammy. I loved it so much I decided to take a break from teaching to focus on raising my children. Over in Scotland I was very lucky that there was a wide range of classes and activities in the area. I enjoyed going to weekly classes and building up friendships with others in the area while also having the opportunity to have one to one time with my kids. I am a dog Mammy too and love living in the countryside and letting my springer spaniel Rosie run free.
After 15 years in Scotland we decided our hearts were in Ireland and decided to move back home. Below is a beauiful gift we were received from a friend of our favourite place in Scotland, South Queensferry. When I was younger we had all our summer holidays in Curracloe, it is my happy place, I still have pinch me moments that we are now living in the beautiful County Wexford. We have loved how welcome the people of Wexford are and we have become involved in our local GAA club, the children love it. Since moving home I realised there are not as many options for families in the area attending classes with their babies and toddlers. There are classes in bigger towns but very little options in the local villages. So I have created Toddle On to share my experiences as Mammy and a teacher to provide a space for families in rural areas
